You are invited to become acquainted with a revolutionary new field of visual experience.
Softmachine is the market leader in the development and production of 360° full dome films. Founded in 2001 by Peter Popp, Softmachine consists of a group of energetic individuals with many years of media experience, mostly coming from film production, 3D animation and marketing business. This gives us a unique position in the industry, allowing us to produce and pioneer a new type of immersive experience for 360° dome projection theatres.
Softmachine develops and produces high-end fulldome shows for all kinds of digital projection formats and venues. Our productions are designed for digital fulldome projection in planetariums, science centers, entertainment parks and giant screen theatres.
Our award winning fulldome production, "Kaluoka'hina, the Enchanted Reef", is in fact the first feature family entertainment film originally produced for the 360° dome projection format (www.kaluokahina.com) and it is already shown in more than 60 digital planetariums around the world. The most recent 360° production, “Realm of Light”, has already won four international awards. For more detailed information please go to the '360° Productions' section and www.reef-distribution.com.
